1941 New Yorker Beer, originally brewed by Fidelio Brewery, NYC. This beer comes from a very interesting period: June 1941. Just a few months before the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. It gives a good idea of what post-Prohibition brewing was like.

With less hops than a pre-prohibition pilsner but more than a post-war pilsner, it is crisp and balanced with the emphasis on malt. Expect aromas of grain and grass-like hops with hints of honey and spiciness. Flavors of citrus fruit and sweet grains precede a touch of lingering bitterness.

Served in a pint glass. 4.3% ABV 21 IBU.
